Pull the plug...

Rue was teething while I was visiting. She was chewing on everything and her pacifier really helped her so a lot of my pictures of her are with a plug in her mouth. She chewed on that thing A LOT....but it paid of. By the time I left, she had her two bottom teeth in. I love these pics of her though. She is bright eyed and bushy tailed, full of smiles and giggles.

Just a warning. If you try to have a contest with Rue to see who can go the longest without blinking...she will win. I'm not kidding. I think she doesn't blink because she is so afraid that she will miss something. This is one alert Girlie.

Rue and Sugar Bear

Rue's sleeping buddy and favorite napping pal is Sugar Bear. He just so happens to be her Christmas bear. I gave him to her. If I had known that he would have such a calming affect on her I would have bought two...one to keep as a second for emergencies. If she is fighting sleep and you are desperate to get her to zonk out, you just need to put Sugar Bear next to her as you rock her and the job will be done. The best part is when she wakes up, you will hear her playing around for a little but before she starts to make real racket. If you peak in the room, you will find her wrestling with good old Sugar Bear. They are a cute pair.

Rue's first half birthday....

I declared shortly after Rue Rue's birth that we were also going to celebrate her half birthday because her real birthday was so close to Christmas. Yep, so from her Auntie Nett, she is getting a small gift on her actual birthday and a big present on her half birthday. That being said, I gave Rue Rue an animal train with a few extra cars and animals for her 6 month birthday. She's got her own traveling zoo. The train is so cute, it plays music and actually moves across the floor with the animals in tow.

Rue's Growth Chart...

Well, I have to do a little surgery on it in December but for the most part, the growth chart is on the wall in Rue Rue's room. I have to re-attach a leaf on one side because after it was glued in we broke it off. Well, Rue fell over and smacked her head on the side of her crib and was crying, so Tisha tried to squeeze past me and the leaf tip caught on her shorts...snap. I blame myself because I should have tried to push it over more but I thought she could get through. Oh well! Plus we started marking her height at the bottom using her doctors chart. I date the lines with the height and I put that she was born on Dec 8th 2007 instead of 2006. Duh moment on my part. Oh well, so when I am home for Christmas, I will repaint that area and fix it, as well as drilling out the leaf hole and replacing the stem. Easy enough.

Grrr

I can't get my pictures to load because we are low on space. Sam downloaded a bunch of crap again. I have to make him move it to the external hard drive so I can load my photos of Rue Rue and get them moved to snapfish. Alas, you will have to wait to see some of my vacation pictures. I'm also sad to say that I won't be doing much blogging until I have read the very last page of Harry Potter. Not to fear, I am 3/4 through the book already. I stayed up way to late getting that far and I have a slight headache because of it....but, its soooooo worth it. More later, I promise.

I'm back

Well, I just walked in my door 12 minutes ago and I should have been home hours ago. I'm to tired to go into anything now. Must...get....sleep.... or continue reading the new Harry Potter book.


The blogging will begin again....shortly. Alas, all vacations must come to an end.

I've been on vacation and its not over yet...

Bunny Rue Rue and her Sugar Bear asked me to tell you all Hello. We've been having a great time. More pictures to follow. Rue said I should check in and let you all know that I'm still kicking. That Rue Rue is a smart little girlie.

I'm off to check off a few more things on my "to do" list. Who said Nebrasky must be a boring place....sheesh, there is so much to do around here that a person almost needs a second vacation to recover.
