Nothin' to see here, people, move along. Ok, if you insist on staying, atleast take your shoes off and make yourself comfortable. Once I get started...well, you could be here for a while. (Just ignore the typos. I do.) Yes, snacks are allowed as long as you share and clean up after yourself. Oh yeah, hey...if you happen to see my scissors around here, could you let me know. I could have sworn I had them right here a minute ago.

Knit, knit, knit to my hearts content....
One of my dear friends sent me a DVD a while back. It was a "How To" for knitting. I kept looking at it and telling myself that I would work on it...eventually. Well Eventually came knocking on my door last night and like a nutjob, I answered it. So I figured out how to cast on. I figured out how to do the knit stitch the english way. Tonight, if I'm not to tired...I will attempt to purl. Now, my Mom showed me all this years ago....but I remember ziltch. That sounds pretty typical to me. Anyway, wish me luck. Once I get this down, I'm going to try one of the projects that they teach on the beginners DVD.

Wow! You're off to a great start! I'm still waiting to embrace knitting.
Okay - I need a copy of that DVD.
Darlene....wneh I have mastered the projects I'll send you the dvd....BUT only if you knit me a pair of slippers. Hehehe.
Nett!! *round of applause here* You are doing Excellent! Next thing you know you will be knitting up a pair of socks!! Woo Hooo!
I want to knit, but I just can't start something new while I have so many unfinished crafty things lying around.
netter: If I ever learn to knit a pair of slippers, I'm makin' them for everyone I know. LOL
When you learn to knit, you can knit my dog a sweater. She is so cold and Grandma Carol says that she could use a doggie sweater.
Cindy....just buy a doggie sweater. I'm not going to make pet fashions....people will think I'm crazier than normal if I do that.
See, I knew you would put it to good use, that's why I give you the good stuff! And all I ask in return are sweaters for the furry Hellions that tear my apt to shreds!
Netter! You're doing a great job! Go, girl!
I love the yarn that you are using. You have to tell me what it is.
(omg. word verification took me 5 tries.)
Woot woot! My MIL showed me the basics, enough to knit a crooked scarf. lol I'd like to learn how to knit some booties, though. Looks like you're off to a great start!
Just this morning I was enjoying my coffee and reading an old Jackie Collins book at Starbucks. The woman next to me was knitting and we began chatting about how knitting is making a come back.
Young 20-somethings are taking up knitting. The world will be well scarf-ed.
My mother also taught me how to knit years ago. Nothing stuck for me either. All I know is you use 2 needles. Before I take up knitting, I want to learn crochet. I can (and do) crochet but I don't know how to read a pattern and don't know what any of the stitches are called.
Kare~ The yarn I'm working with is Patons Classic Merino Wool its really ment for felting projects. It is kind of pretty.
Thank you.
Where are you? uh oh. We lost another one to the needles.
Kare~ LOL, I've been feeling ill so I have not blogged. I have however finished a knitting project. I'll post a pic soon. It's pathetic but not bad for my first knitted ladder scarf.
I hope you are feeling better soon!
