Nothin' to see here, people, move along. Ok, if you insist on staying, atleast take your shoes off and make yourself comfortable. Once I get started...well, you could be here for a while. (Just ignore the typos. I do.) Yes, snacks are allowed as long as you share and clean up after yourself. Oh yeah, hey...if you happen to see my scissors around here, could you let me know. I could have sworn I had them right here a minute ago.

I can't make up my mind...
Well, my blocks are done. yep, all four sets, in two different sizes. I just need to figure out how to arrange them for the final top. I may have to lay them out on the table, take pictures of the different arrangements and let you, my favorite readers, decide for me. I already have several ideas for other dolly quilts and a heart project for myself. Ah, to find the time. I still have to finish the cookie quilt I started and I'd really like to make a Christmas cottage quilt but have the blocks be seasonal instead of just Christmas. My scrap basket is already filled to the top, as you can see...just imagine what it would look like after I get done with everything I'd like to make.

Wow, isn't that just beautiful?!? Will there be strips of fabric sewn around the pinwheels? I like it just how you have it btw. :)
Thanks Cris! I wasn't going to do fabric in between each block because when you place them together, it creates white pinwheels between each color pin wheel. You can see what I mean on the right hand side. I had four blocks that the design was flipped on because I flipped my template when I traced them, so I had to make a few more. I sewed the four flipped blocks together and I'm going to make it into a little pillow. Depending on the size when I am done, I may or may not have a wide border around the outside. I might just put a binding and that's it.
Oh nett, it's going to be beautiful, no matter how you arrange it! You are so talented - I'm totally jealous!
p.s. You have to post your Christmas decorations soon - I can't wait to see them.
Darlene, you could totally do this project. Seriously, if you can sew a sorta straight line you can quilt. I mean it, it looks scary hard but isn't. I'm mean seriously, you are talking to someone who doesn't know how to sew with a pattern. I don't, I can't make clothes or anything like that...but I kind of have an idea how things should go, so I can make dress up clothes for pretend time.
Oh, and I can't post a picture of my ornaments until after Christmas...because my friends read this site and it will ruin the fun. Maybe I will take a pic and email it to you though.
OK, I'm not mean...but I am serious....I had some typos there. Oy Vey, I need to go back to bed.
You are superwoman! Those kids are VERY lucky to have you.
I am not that industrious. I'd have made plain square blocks & drawn the pinwheels on -- not nearly so pretty. No, wait a minute -- I'd have bought fabric that already had colored squares and then added the pinwheel look. *grin* -- that's why no one gets quilts from me.
Peg~ Hehe...where were you when I hatched this pin head idea. I totally could have cheated and they would have been just as happy!
oh! White pinwheels will show up.. I didn't even notice that. It looks really, really good.
