Just so you know...

Don't bother calling my Mom's house while an episodes of Little House on the Prairie is on that contains Almonzo Wilder. Oh sure, she'll talk to you but not with the usual enthusiasm that she usually displays after talking to you every day this week. It's just better to let her go and call her after the show is over. She really likes Almonzo. I think she might harbor a school girl crush on Manly...like Laura did. Remember that? Maybe she just likes the way Laura gets him all flustered and annoyed. That's what I enjoy.

Awww, good times.

I suddenly feel like putting braids in my hair. They might make it to the bottom of my ears. I just wish my hair was red, like it was when I was a kid.

o.k. ditso! i like all little house episodes, but really like the way they protrayed the "courtship" on the show, although i'm sure it did not happen like that for real.. and yeah, i liked yhe way he got all flustered and annoyed and for your info, if i had a so called crush, i would have went to beatrice a couple of years ago, when almonzo, nellie, caroline, miss beadle and 2 others regulars that i can't remember right now were there at a program at the homestead national park. so stick that in you hat and smoke it!!lol

LOL, well that sure got yoru blud pumping, didn't it. Awww, my work is done for the moment!

Oh and Mom, I don't smoke, you know that. Ease of the pain pills, they must be getting to you.

lol...that was fun.

Hey, do you think Janet can whip me up a batch of dye to match my old hair color?

I'm not sure I should risk it....I don't want to look like bozo the clown all summer.

I love Little House! Hubby hates it though I doesn't understand my wanting to buy some seasons on DVD. Ahhh, Almonzo. I had a crush on him when I was little! Omigosh, remember the episode where Liza Jane faked being engaged to Harv so Al and Laura could marry? So touching! Don't get me started on TV today! That's whats wrong with kids today!

Oh Almonso - I think anyone who watched that show had a crush on him. My Grandmother used to call it "Little Joe on the Prairie" because apparently Michael Landon used to be on Bonanza and his name was Little Joe...She got confused a lot.

Sara~ I'd love to own the entire series on DVD...I would. I'd have to hid it from Mom though, or she'd be freezing the frames on pics of Almonzo...because she LOOOVES him. lol, kidding Mom! I have to be careful or she'll call me a ditzo again...whatever that is.

Darlene~ Little Joe...lol, your Grandma was cute. You know this is a little off subject but I once spent a couple hours with my friend Todd, trying to hum the theme song from that show. We knew we were close but off just enough that it drove us nuts.

My husband loves this show. LOVES it, he actually thought some people had places like the little house and still lived that way in Nebraska and was soooo disappointed that it was all pretty modern.

Secretly he wants to be Charles. And I am positive he will make our future children call him Pa. He was so upset they blew up the town, said they should have preserved it so fans could go visit...

He also calls me Half-pint sometimes and while I know he only though Laura was a hottie when she was older I told him to stop b/c it creeps me out. He'll just love that I'm revealing all his LHOTP secrets on here. ha.

Oh Chris...lol, I guess I did remember him mentioning LHOTP more than once, since I have known him. I can't blame him, it was a great show. You know, a couple of years ago, all the living actors from the show were in Nebraska together and he could have gone to Beatrice to meet them. It was some big to-do for the National Homestead Act....which you might remember, the first piece of land claimed was in Nebraska, just outside of Beatrice.

ah ha,now a secret of yours!! i figured you would thimk i was insane if i had told you that i would horde all the dvd's of little house series. .. some where if i dig deep enough i might find that newspaper clipping of when they were at beatrice.. i don't think i threw it away, just don't know where i put it. you know me my filing system sucks. i need to change that, which is another of my summer projects gone astray

I once looked the real Almonzo up on Wikipedia, and he was hot!

He is cute. Andi~ I heard he was on an episode or two of JAG. Never watched that show myself.

DH~ OMG...now I have to look.

I loved the books but the actors on the show bugged the heck outta me. Never watched it past the first couple episodes. The do-good endings always made me spit! LOL! Almonzo sure was a cutie pie, though.

The actor also played Buffy's dad on Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

I LOVED this show too!! I wanted to be Mary until she went blind...then not so much...

And remember when Albert first came to live with the Ingalls and he was stealing the drugs from Doc Baker? And so Pa confronted Albert and had to detox him in the barn. AKA Charles Ingalls' Prairie Rehab for Wayward Orphans.

Now that was some "must see TV".

Sue~ Yeah, they end pretty sappy, but boy oh boy, when Albert died, that was a downer.

DH~ REALLY? I must have missed those shows. I only watched Buffy when forced to and even then, I was reading a book.

Marianne~ I always liked Laura better...because I was a lot like her. I used to have big ideas. Remember the fools gold episode...that would have been me.
