This is too embarrassing.

OK, OK, I'll admit it...this monstrosity is mine...all mine. It is my first ever snowflake. Mom read the directions to me because I can't read those crazy things. It's kind of lopsided and deformed, perhaps because I was talking more than counting....yes, perhaps that is true. I'm going to blame it on my sister, basically because she is a good scape goat. lol,you think I am joking, don't you. I really didn't want to post this picture because it is really pathetic and I have issues with pathetic things that I have created. I know, it is my first ever snowflake. I know it is the first crochet project I did that did not have straight rows like dish clothes do, or scarves. It could have been worse, it just looks like a snowflake that was stepped on or was to close to a heat source. I guess my dream of having one whole tree full of homemade snowflakes just went up in a blaze of glory, yep it bit the big one. Oh hell, I had just found a whole website with a ton of free snowflake pattern links. Who knows, maybe I will keep at it and actually create something lovely....some day, oh how I dream, some day!

heck, that is probably better than I could ever do ! lol - I consider myself pretty crafty and all, but when it comes to crochet or knitting, I just suck!

Practice makes perfect! Make a dozen or so and you will get the hang of it better. Different sized thread and hooks make a lot of difference too! By the way, the instructions are typed and in the shoe box of stuff I mailed the other day.. Happy crocheting!!!

Miyon, have you ever tried your hand at crochet?

You did a fab job on it Nett. Just keep practicing and they will start to look like something I would have made. Something else, you could put a call out and get all your crafty blogging buddies to whip one up for you and then you would have a tree full of snowflakes in no time flat.

Miyon, It couldn't be any worse than what I created....oy vey.

Brandy, you have a really good idea there! Hmmmm....perhaps I will have to post something about that on our first snowfall. That seems like its so far away.

Denise, Thanks!
