HOly crap. Could you imagine some of the kids in 8th grade taking that today? I know about 80% I think would fail. Does give it a new meaning. Thanks for sharing that.

BTW I hope you like the preserves. It is yummy. I started some blueberry bushes so I could have my preserves whenever I want it and not have to pay the awful price at the store for them. I really love it made with Bing Cherries.

I didn't even know Europe had republics. But Ms Poppe didn't let me take Geography at THS - such a wonderful guidance counselor she was.

Not to fear, I took Georgaphy and we didn't lear that...so you didn't miss out on any great banks of knowledge....Meyer taught the class...the man couldn't even pronounce EGO.

Back then, you got a rap (not a light one, either) across the knuckles or on open hands if you didn't know answers. Now, they just ask the next kid and so what if the others aren't listening, and DON'T even think about rapping or even touching a kid, now days, although a good many could learn something from it if it could happen.. Parental discipline is terrible anymore. They send these "brats" to school and wonder why the schools can't make them learn anything.. A lot of it is because of the discipline they get at home. They don't listen, they talk back, they ignore anyone talking to them, they think they always have to be first at everything, they whine and complain. All that just for starts.. I could go on for hours..
