I've been busy adding to my clippings basket.

Trace, cut, trace some more, cut, cut, trace, groan because I flipped my template, toss the screw up aside, trace again, cut, cut, count, nope I still need more...repeat as needed.

I've been busy, for sure. I'm not even close to being done.

Who gets the doll quilts - Rue?
They will be so cute!

At 1st your post reminded me of when I was a preschool teacher. I had a small sand & water table that was about waist high on kids. I'd empty it, put my scraps of colored paper in there with kid scissors ---the children loved it. Some would stand there and snip-snip-snip for the entire playtime.

I knew you were a kid at heart!

Hi Peg! Yep one is for the Rue and the other is for my parents little neighbor girl, Taryn. Ikea had these really cute little dolly beds and I bougnt one for each of them for Christmas. It comes with a little cover but I thought a handmade quilt would be much nicer.

I love your story about the sand table turned cutting corner. I never knew a single kid besides maybe my Katie who didn't like to cut things up. Katie had delayed motor skills so she wasn't fond of using scissors but me being the crafty one that I am, I had her using them all the time. Motor skills don't improve if you don't work those hands.

You are so right..I'm a big kid. I love toys, games and make believe. Like Ward Cleaver said, "You're never too old to do goofy stuff." I'm all about goofy!

What lovely fabrics! Ugh, the cutting part does get old, doesn't it? Hang in there.
