Nothin' to see here, people, move along. Ok, if you insist on staying, atleast take your shoes off and make yourself comfortable. Once I get started...well, you could be here for a while. (Just ignore the typos. I do.) Yes, snacks are allowed as long as you share and clean up after yourself. Oh yeah, hey...if you happen to see my scissors around here, could you let me know. I could have sworn I had them right here a minute ago.

I stand corrected
Mom doesn't want to be called Grandma. Only because she doesn't like the Grandma Millie/Grandma Loretta confusion....so she says she is going to be Granny. She kind of reminds me of Granny off of the Beverly Hillbillies....lol...she'll really kill me for that. Well, I may try to talk her into Nana. I think Nana and Pops has a good ring to it if we can't do the Grandma and Grandpa bit.

My mom opted out of Grandma too, she insisted on Grammy. It's cute!
I'm correctin you again.. I said "Grammy" not Granny. the one I want has m's not n's in it...like I said, not an oscar, but a grammy.... or did you just hit the wrong key?? That had better be your excuse!!!!lollol
lol...yeah, yeah, yeah....Grammy.
hmmmm...that's a toughy...My kids call my mom & dad Nanny & Poppy, but I can kinda understand....I don't think I'm anticipating the whole "Grandma" thing either...There's gotta be a cooler name, dontcha think?
Tooo cute grammy!!! I called my one grandmother granny. That is what she liked, they are from the south though.
Congratulations Grammy Magneta! :) I call my Grandparents Grammy and Grampy. In England they call their grandmothers Nan and on L.I. it seems to me Bubby and Zady. So I think I will asked to be called Grandy.
The Boy has a Nanny and Poppa, and a Grandma and Grandpa.
Elishia calls my mom Meemaw....Meemaw Weez to be exact. lol
The reason I opted out on the "Granny", is because I use to have a boyfriend who lived with his grandmother (his mother committed sucide and his father had taken off and left them long before she did the sucide thing) any how, he called his grandmother,"Granny Goodwitch"..The only reason I could get for the name was that she had a good heart and took care of him, but she could also be a witch, when she didn't approve of things he did.. I didn't know her very well, but I don't want to be reminder of her, so I don't want the handle of Granny, as a reminder
I am a step mother to 3 kids, who in turn have 4 children. The first one came along when I was 32. I did not want to be called grandma then, so I opted for nana. I had a grandma and a nana and thought nana might just be a little bit different. But my daughter is having a baby, so now I'm 40, I'd say I'll probably go for grandma.
I'm just so excited about being grandma that I don't care. I'll probably wait and see what they call me when they start to talk. They usally have sum funny way of saying it.2months that just seems so funny to say. I do like grammy that is cute. I just don't want to be called by my name.
Yea for you Vickie..I never liked hearing Jesse and Billy refer to Grandma Inez or Grandma Evelyn.. For some reason it grated on my nerves..Grandkids just shouldn't call their grandparents by their first names!!!There are plenty of other names to hang on them...
