Can you get lock jaw from that?

I went out to lunch with Roberta and Jean. I ordered my favorite, the French dip sandwich. I was starting on the second part of my meal, but after the first chew I felt a sharp poke in the gum behind my front teeth. It didn't not feel pleasant. I thought to myself, "Could it be a bone chip?" I have never had that happen before in sliced roast beef. Hmmmm. So I fished around with my tongue and pulled out what looked like a staple that had been cooked and blackened on the grill. Jean took it from me to examine it and called over the waiter. He took it and said it wasn't a staple but a piece of the metal brissle from the grill brush. LOVELY! He asked me if I would like another sandwich....but I was full anyway so I said, "No thank you." He then told me he would be right back....when he returned he said he took my meal off the bill and he was very sorry about that. I told him it was OK, that it didn't really hurt much and that I was just glad I didn't swallow it.
That was the second time I had a strange object in my food. Once years ago at the International Delight Cafe, I found a piece of white plastic in my salad. I had thought it was just the heart of some iceberg lettuce...but nope, it was a big chunk of plastic. I gave it to the waiter but he didn't comp my meal, but he did say he was sorry that happened. That is all I really need, an apology and a promise that they will be more careful.
I must be jinxed. I have the strangest things happen to me. I'm just happy that I have not been injured from anything like this before....I mean a little poke today but I think I am OK on my tetanus shot.

I got a Lady bug in my salad once(dead)but a Bug none the less it was also a comp meal. now if it would have caused physical pain things would not have been good for the resturant i was eating at. you are a very forgiving person, glad your tetanus shot is curent. I guess this puts a whole new meaning to Brush your teeth.

lol...yep well, I brush my teeth all the time, just not with a grill brush. I wasn't really hurt, just a quick poke and I know it was an accident. Now if the guy would have been a butthead about it....there would have been a battle of words. Eww, a dead bug! Yuck.
