My family is full of pickle eaters....dill pickles, zesty dill pickles....yummy. As kids, Grandma would pull out a jar and before she knew it, the jar was empty. The cousins have been known to polish off two jars of pickles before heading on to a bowl of ice cream. I know it sounds strange...but it happened. One of our Uncles walked in and saw us in the act and asked if we were all pregnant or something. We said we weren't but we were pretty sure cousin Mike was. We were fun kids. I just found out that Cindy's daughter...my second cousin, Dani, likes to drink the left over pickle juice from the jar. She was so polite over Christmas when she asked her Great Aunt Millie if she had plans for the pickle juice because she wanted to drink it if she didn't.
I then started thinking about what it was about pickles that I liked so much. I decided it was the vinegar. I love things with vinegar in it. I like pickled gizzards, pickled mushrooms and marinated mozzarella cheese balls. I love beets but only if they were cooked in vinegar, yummy. I love, love , Vinegar and salt potato chips, oil and vinegar on my salad, malted vinegar sprinkled on my french fries. Nothing beats a good pickle, nothing at all, except maybe Butter Brickle Ice Cream or Pop's popcorn balls, which by the way are made with a little vinegar as well. It's true. I guess if anyone ever said, "Those Kaster kids are full of piss and vinegar.", they were technically right.

Sounds like my family. They eat jar after jar of pickles.
Glad you are back. I haven't had anyone to aggrivate lately. I have some catching up to do. LOL.

Hey Netter....come check out our blog..I have something for you to see. :-)
I wish that I could find those "Heinz Genuine Dill Pickles" that grandma Kaster used to buy. They were so good, I could eat a whole jar.
You did eat a whole jar....lol, Wal-Mart carries them sometimes.
