My Mother wants me to do a little research and find out exactly where this house stood and take a picture of the area. I don't mind the idea of doing the research but I don't want to hang in Bushwick, along the tracks, looking for the right spot. Anyway, here is what we know about it so far:The Duryee family homestead, Bushwick LI, New York built c 1681 by Joose Duryee, was destroyed in 1903 to make room for improvement on the Pennsylvania Rail Road. The sketch is a copy of one which appeared in the New York Sun, January 4,1903.
