Mom was standing at one end and suddenly said, "Oh shoot!"
I said, "What?"
She said, "We didn't mark the door so we'd know which side is the top."
I looked at her and said, "You're not serious."
She said, "Yes I am."
I said, "You're kidding me, right?"
She said, "No."
I said, "You are kidding me."
She said, "No, I'm not, I'm serious. How are we going to know ?"
At this point I realized she was serious and not just kidding but I couldn't resist myself, that is when I said, "Well, WE Pollocks put the window on top."
At which point we both started laughing hysterically. In her defense, she was standing at the top of the door and couldn't see the window from her point of view but I have never let her live it down.

That is something that I might have done. At least I know what side of the family my ditziness comes from.
HAHAHAHAH...that is TOO FUNNY. The door really is upside down. I guess you both kept it that way?????
Well, that is funny because basically, you share not genetic ties with my Mom....just my Dad, Me and Tisha.
LOL, Lexie, silly goose! That was just some picture that I saw that made me think of the story. We were still shaving off some of the door when we had this conversation, so it was on its side. Hehehehhe....plus that door had a half window in it so it would have looked completely crazy and the door knob was pretty low so I don't think we could have got the door to latch if whe hung it upside down.
LOL - how funny!
Well, Netter, you forgot to tell what I did after you made that "We Pollacks" crack.. I hauled off and smacked you for making a smart assed comment to me... then we laughed our asses off... It is a bit embarrassing, but I could think of worse things to be embarrassed by....
Oh yeah, you did whack me...lol, but I think I was too busy laughing to be bothered by it.
