Yesterday....

I met Matt and Meri for breakfast at the RVC diner yesterday. We had a nice time chatting and catching up. They are moving to Florida at the end of the month, they are buying a house, having a baby...all those fun things that life leads you to. I'll miss them but they talked me into visiting them next fall.

Jean called me while I was chatting with Matt and Meri and she invited me over to help decorate her house for Christmas. So, I went over we unpacked some boxes did our thing and then went shopping for a few hours. After that we returned home to Jim who I helped with the lights on the tree. I got the stings of lights working and helped feed him the lines as he went around the tree. We played a inpromptu game of ....name the best fill Sean Conorary ever starred in which lead to a confused conversation over the movies Ode to Billy Joe and The Legend of Billy Jean. Good times!

I went to go home and when I started the car I heard a funny high pitched sound and then smoke started to pour quickly from under the hood. I turned off the car and rang the Leachs front door. Jim grabbed a flashlight for me and we checked under the hood where we discovered a broken fan belt. He asked me if I wanted to just stay the night or if he should take me home. I knew we were all tired and I didn't want to force him to drive me back down to the harbor. Anyway, Jean gave me a flannel nightgown and I got to sleep in Katies bed. It is so comfy but it was kind of strange sleeping in there with out Katie. usually when I sleep over she throws her arms and legs over me and forces me to the edge of the bed. That girlie is a real cuddle bunny. Jean tried to sucker me into going to church but I resisted and Jim drove me home. The car has to be towed yet. We just shelled out $500 for a tune up on Friday....so this should not have happened. Annoying, huh!
