A bird in the hand...

I was in sitting in the back yard today after lunch, looking through my mail, when a couple of birds started freaking out over me. They were adult mockingbirds. They are cocky little buggers too. They were fanning their wings at me, hopping from chair to chair, making a loud call, in otherwords, they were being annoying. I was trying to figure out why they were so freaked out by me. Finally, I saw their baby hopping around the yard. That explains it. I don't think he has his flying feathers yet, he keeps trying though. Poor little guy. I guess it is only a matter of time before a cat finds him. I wish I could help the little guy, but I am afraid the parents will reject him if I go to close to him. They are still feeding him, so that is good.  Posted by Hello
