Ok, I was in the city...and this is what I heard...

I was just south of Canal Street at the park along the river where the NYTS is located. I was on the other side of the fence standing along the edge of the river taking pictures of Sam and his cousin Emily as they performed at their trapeze class. On my left was a dark, curly haired, young lady talking on her cell phone. To my right was a normal looking guy, around the same age as the lady. Now the girl was just chatting away, giving someone directions to her location so they could meet her. When she finished her conversation the guy turns to her, catches her eye and asks,"Where are you from?" She gives him a look, you know the look, like he was beneath her social class...way below and asks in a snotty tone, "Where are you from? The guy, sensing her hostility, says, " Oh, I'm just interested in accents and yours is so unusual, I was wondering where yours comes from, that's all." She looks him square in the eye and says, "New York City, born and raised." The guy didn't say anything back, he just turned and rode his bike down the path. Now, I heard this lady talking and since I was closer I think that I can understand why he thought he heard an accent...but it was just a speech impediment. People, I swear!

Another one of those fill in the blank things.

Your Birthdate: May 7

Born on the 7th day of month gives you a tendency to be something of a perfectionist and makes you more individualistic in many ways.

Your mind is good at deep mental analysis and complicated reasoning.

You are very psychic and sensitive, and you should usually follow your hunches.

You may not take orders too well, so you may want to work alone or in a situation where you can be the boss.

This birthday gives a tendency to be somewhat self-centered and a little stubborn.

Katies leaving for college in three days..the count down continues. This was taked around last Christmas....she was sick of me taking her picture...but what do I have to say to that? Tough! lol. Posted by Picasa

Going, going, gone...

Yummy, huh! There is nothing like a bowl of reduced fat, extra creamy, vanilla ice cream that is covered in tons of fresh strawberries that were sliced and covered with sugar to make them nice and juicy. Are you hungry yet? Mouth watering? I sure hope so. I'd invite you over but I ate the last of the strawberries. Sorry. Posted by Picasa

I'm still alive...

It's been a long day. We finished the banner and now I have to wait until the glue under the glitter dries. If you want to check it out..I will be posting the pics on my Craft site..see the links on the side bar. Remember I drew the letters free hand..I'm so insulted....Computer graphics my ass. I'm just a crafty person, that is all. Anyway, we are going to see a broadway show tonight so I need to get moving. Later!

Katie leaves for college in 4 days....the count down continues. Ewwww....Ewwww...Ewwww...I want a turn too, stop hogging the bubbles. Gosh! Posted by Picasa

In case I disappear...

I have a feeling that after my prior blog is viewed by a certain relative, I may have to go into hiding. He is on his way back to California right now...so I have a few days. I know he would never board a plane to fly to New York to attack me...so that gives me a little bit more time to go into the Bloggers Witness Protection Program. Under the BWPP guide lines for safety, I will be required leave at a moments notice. Once I am in a safe home, I will be able to return to my blogging antics. Do not fear, you can't keep me away from this site forever.

Photo taken last week.....lol, supplied by his loving Daughter...otherwise known as E.G. for her laundry skills.

Hey, I'm headed down to try out for Soul Train. Want a lift in my new Ford Pinto? Just smell that genuine imitation vinyl upholstery, I had to pay extra for that. Don't you dig it? You know, I was the fourth place runner up on The Gong Show. I would have won but while I was doing my roller disco act my polyester leisure suit had a blow out near my manhood, if you know what I mean, so they couldn't let me take the big prize after that. I did get a years supply of High Karate aftershave as a consolation prize. I have some on right now, wanna sniff it? Groovy huh. I know why you are looking at me like that. Yeah,. all the chicks notice my resemblance to Gordon Lighfoot. Posted by Picasa

So, Cliff went to play tennis this afternoon. Half way through the second set he noticed he didn't match his sneakers up very well. LOL....I had to take a picture of it. How funny is that. Lawyers..they can sue your ass off with the greatest of ease but they have a little trouble dressing themselves....Allegedly. Oh, by the way, he is blaming this on me because I get sick of his shoes all over the house so I toss them in the closet. Plus, he didn't play very well, so its my fault he put on two different shoes that completely put off his game. Uh huh. Can anyone say, Scape goat? Posted by Picasa

The view from the deck...you can see the Jones Beach water tower in the distance....in the middle of the photo. Its half tide on a cloudy day...blah. The snowball tree is going crazy! Posted by Picasa

Sam worked very hard on a slide show for his Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary party. His Dad, pictured above viewing one of the photos, has put Sam in a tail spin. His slide show was perfect, the music ended at the exact time, it was cute, funny and ofcourse, Cliff had to tear it apart and add 25% more to it. Sam is very upset and I don't blame him, but there were a few pictures that did needed to be in there. It was supposed to be a gift from the Grandchildren but it has turned into Cliff's project. I understand why Sam is so upset, the kid is a perfectionist about some things and he knows how much extra work he has to do to make it perfect once again. Ah, Dads! Posted by Picasa

Stop, don't hand me that dried smackeral yet, put it away man...I thought I heard something. I don't want to get pinched, Raine would be so pissed. She wants me to cut down on the hard stuff but a cat can't live on Science Diet alone, unless you have years of blubber built up like old Tooch. Yeah, I think the coast is clear. I have to watch out for those pigeons...I think they are have been trailing me. I should just switch to carbs with cinnamon in it, its good, its legal and I can deal it without fear of jail time. A cat never wants to become a jail bird...its just not natural. Posted by Picasa

Katie leaves for college in 5 days..the count down continues. This pic has a cute story to it. Jarrod is the little guy in the yellow shirt. He must of had a thing for blondes...especially Katie. He kept scooting closer to her and trying to touch her toes. Katie kept pulling her feet closer and closer until she had them tucked up like in this picture. Katie asked us why he was doing that. Even back then she had the boys after her. Jarrod is the funniest kid. Raine has some great stories about him...maybe she will comment and tell a few. Especially the one aobut when he waited to tell her something once he was off the bus and the doors were closing...lol, or what he did with her ring at her wedding. AH, good times. Posted by Picasa

I had to post this picture of Shannon playing with Goop. She commented on the picture of Chris and Katie with their goop. Jez, what a mess. The next time she played with it, I let her do it in the bath tub. The clean up was easier. She's a senior this year...and school officially starts today.  Posted by Picasa

I found this photo strip when I was going through my pictures the other day. Its Billy, Andrew and Lindsey ( I think I spelled his name correctly) I remember we were in Beatrice and for some reason we had the boys with us. It must have been cold out, they have their winter coats on. I would guess that it was around 1988 or 1989, that would make Billy 8 or 9. He just turned 25...so it was a while ago. Time flies doesn't it. Posted by Picasa

To set the record straight...

I was accused of not liking dogs. ME! How silly. Sure, I have a lot of cat pictures on my site, but that doesn't prove anything. I just have a lot of friends with cats, that's all. I also put a lovely picture of Chester the dog on my site recently...so pththththththt. (imagine my tongue sticking out at you) I do not like small rat dogs though, or yippie little dogs or hairy little muts....I like big dogs, or sturdy dogs. I think the smallest dog I like is a Corgy and my favorite is the golden retreiver. They are cute. I do, however love cats...big, fat, friendly, goofball, lap cats. They are the best. Perhaps it is because my Grandparents always had cats. I don't know...but I do like dogs. I just needed to set the record straight.

Ouch...

OK, I know this is strange....but everytime I think about my sisters scar from her surgery....like now, I get terrible shooting pains in my shins. I mean if friggin hurts. First, I get a little tingle and then BAM...it hurts like a Mo Fo. It's the oddest thing. I get it anytime I am forced to watch a medical show showing a hip replacement surgery or eye surgery, any surgery really. Yeah, and my Grandma thought I should be a nurse.....hahhahahaha....it was never going to happen...EVER. I can handle an emergency situation..but if I am removed from the action it is really hard to take. I'm not sure if I couldhave helped my Sister wash her hair for the first time today like our Mom did. I probably would have gagged...and just thinking about it is making my legs hurt again. Ow...Ow...OW! I have to stop it now...I'm going to go blog about good thoughts.

Hahahhahahha...OMG, I want him. With a face like that, how could you not love this fur ball? I was told last night by a well meaning friend that she didn't want me to become one of those old spinster cat ladies. JEZ! Lovely! I have no cats, no plans on getting a cat, and even if I did get a cat...I would never have more than two. Two is my limit. they will both be gray, unless it has a face like this monster. I really do want him, he's quirky. Posted by Picasa

This Quote ...

It's a perfect quote for my Sister to use. She always says she won't have kids until Dewey, her hubbie, growes up. Check it out.

"All women should know how to take care of children. Most of them will have a husband some day." --Franklin P. Jones

Six days left until Katie heads to college. Kaite is on the far right under the desk...looking at Where's Waldo with Heather. The little guy in the front is Sam...yep, my Sam. Wasn't he cute.  Posted by Picasa

Look Tami! I do have a Father!

I stole this picture off of Cindy's site. Yep, that is my Pop. Sure he has been on my site before...in his underwear, sleeping on the sofa....lol. Doesn't this guy look like a handful? Oh, he is, he definately is a handful. I wish I could have been at the family get together on Saturday....but alas, I'll be home for Christmas.

Oh and if you are wondering about the subject line.... My friend Tami swears I don't have a father. I've known her since the first day of 9th grade and in all those years...she has never seen my father. I know, I know, its weird. Most people would pay big bucks to be able to claim that fact...lol, no seriouly, they never met.

Tisha update...

It seems as though the Doctors have decided that Tisha could leave the hospital. Now if its because she is felling better and is in good enough shape to be home or if its because she has been causing a lot of trouble for the nurses and has driven them to kick her out,...well I don't know. She was feeling really perky on Friday and she kept food down. She can get out of bed, and walk by herself, brush her own teeth..ect..but she can't brush her own hair or anything like that. She has a lot of healing to do. She's a tough chick, that sister of mine. She is going to get me a picture of her surgical scar and maybe a copy of some of the actual pics taken during her surgery. I'm sure I will gag..but if I'm going to, everyone can too. I'll post them for you.

Katie is going to leave for college in 7 days. The count down continues. This picture actually scares the hell out of me. Left to right its Jessica, Katie and Stephanie....with a lovely coat of evil looking face paint. I think demons were painting faces at the Powell Avenue block party that year. Don't you love their "we are gorgous" poses. Oy Vey.  Posted by Picasa

My Mother's smart-ass daughter...

She's going to kill me for telling this little tid-bit. I talked to her while she was at Vic's for the family get together. She was telling me how her stereo speakers wouldn't work after she vacuumed them out. She wondered if she sucked them too hard. I said, "Yeah, Dad always said you sucked too hard." She tried to ignore it...but I was laughing and asked her if she heard me...and she said "Yeah!" in an funny, annoyed way....but when I told her to tell Dad what I said because he'd enjoy it...she refused. She wouldn't let me tell Vickie either. You know, between me and my father, she should really be use to it.

For example, I was talking to Dad a couple of months ago and he was in a really good mood. Eventually, he said that when he came home, Mom met him at the door and demanded sex. (You know that has to be a lie...HEHEHE) Anyway, He said he asked her if he could have something to eat first because he was working hard all day. That is when I said,"Did she say, oh, I have something for you to eat alright!" I think for once I left my father speechless.....for it's not everyday I make a comment like that to him. He laughed, as well he should have but got off the phone soon after that. I'm sure I probably messed up his punch line...where ever it was going.

Ah, life is good when your mind is in the gutter.
