Poor, poor Pops...

Well, it looks like my Dad...aka Pops, isn't going to be able to spend this Father's Day doing what he usually does on his big day. That would be sleeping or fishing. Oh, who am I kidding? He'll manage to squeeze both of those things in there. Yep and I'm sure he'll try to see his lovely granddaughter Rue. If he wants to eat, he won't be able to let Mom do all the cooking for him while he naps though. Nope, he's the chef on duty these days, at least until Mom gets her broken chicken wing back in order. Yep, poor Pops, he's not going to be spoiled this Father's Day. So basically, he'll be spending the day like Mom has to for Mother's Day....cooking for the napping spouse. I knew that sooner or later, that one would bite him in the butt. Happy Father's Day Pop! I hope you got up early and made Mom a lovely breakfast in bed.

Rue and her Paw Paw and Grammy

Rue has her Paw Paw wrapped around her little fingers. When its time to be burped, she gets the royal treatment. Yep, she gets propped over his leg and Paw Paw reads her a book while he tries to pat those bubbles up for her. She seems pretty happy with the arraingement. Trust me, if she wasn't, she would let him know. She laughs at her Grammy a lot too. I dont' blame her one bit, I do the same thing. I laugh everytime I see this picture. That's my Bunny Rue Rue...and I can tell she is going to be a silly girl. I wouldn't want her any other way. She's getting so big and I'm missing all the cranky teething issues....whew. She's my girl. We talk on the phone, well she looks at the phone trying to figure out where the sound is coming from before she tries to chew on it and I do most of the talking. I just hear a bunch of heavy breathing and some laughing.

Bunny Rue Rue: Into the Looking Glass

I FINALLY got some more pictures of my niece Rue. While Grammy snapped the picture, Pop Pop held up their Granddaughter. It sure looks like she was interested in herself. She's getting so big. I have to wait until the end of June to see here again. She'll be 6 months old, but that is OK, babies are more interesting at that age.

Grammy wore Rue out the other day. She bought her an Exersaucer so she could sit up and see the world and her toys. They put a couple receiving blankets around her tummy so she doesn't fall over and Rue is in hog heaven. She checks out her hands and whatever is around her. Yep, Rue had a blast and wore herself out. She took a three hour nap for Grammy. Bunny Rue Rue was one tired girlie. The weather was finally nice enough that she was able to go for a ride in the stroller after her nap. The fresh air wore her out again. I think I would sleep well too if someone pushed me around in the fresh spring air. It just seems like it would be so relaxing.

Where's my remote!

When Pop Pop isn't hogging the baby he is in his "dungeon" watching TV. Normally he has the remote in his hand, 24/7. I mean, even in his sleep he adjusts the volume and changes channels. Who knew that ADD still affects you when you are sleeping?! Anyway, I was watching three movies, two ball games and several misc shows with him when Mom called us upstairs to eat. Well, I had to steal his remote. I seriously had to. He is a terrible flipper and the insanity needed to be stopped. I brought it upstairs with me and Mom saw me hide it. After we ate, Pop snuck away to his dungeon again, without clearing his dirty dishes from the table...AGAIN, so I really didn't feel bad about him going downstairs and tearing apart the basement. I helped Mom with the dishes and when we were done cleaning up the kitchen we went down stairs to find him using his caveman remote....aka his toe, to switch channels. He had pulled up one of the video game rockers and made himself comfy. I guess he got tired of looking for the remote, plus he figured I took it. He hid my book and wouldn't give it back until I gave up the remote. Luckily Mom had grabbed the remote upstairs and took control of the TV for a while. I think she enjoyed yelling at him to keep his feet of the furniture. He's as bad as a kid. Oh, and I did get my book back. I found it but didn't tell him about it. I made him give my book back later and he couldn't seem to find it where he hid it....hmmm, wonder why. I know, I know, I 'm a little bit evil. Just a little bit.

Rue has her Pops whipped!

My Dad is going to be an obsessive Grandfather...I can tell already. Yep, Rue has him wrapped around her little fingers and toes. She's going to be spoiled rotten. How do I know? Well, Tisha and Rue visited Grammy and Pops last night. I was talking to my Sister on the phone a few minutes ago and suddenly she said, "OH, its Dad!" He had just pulled in the driveway. He must have been bored because he didn't have to work and came to visit his Grand daughter.
Mom told me a few days ago that Dad was wondering if Rue was going to stop by for a visit because he hadn't seen her in sooo long. Mom said, if you count two days as to long. Yep, Pop-Pop is whipped!
