Nothin' to see here, people, move along. Ok, if you insist on staying, atleast take your shoes off and make yourself comfortable. Once I get started...well, you could be here for a while. (Just ignore the typos. I do.) Yes, snacks are allowed as long as you share and clean up after yourself. Oh yeah, hey...if you happen to see my scissors around here, could you let me know. I could have sworn I had them right here a minute ago.

I got a call from Napoleon Dynamite....
Yep, I was curled up on my bed, sleeping up a storm, when my cell phone rang. I grabbed the phone, and said "Hello" into it. To my surprise I heard a funny voice saying strange things back to me. I suddenly realized that it was Napoleon Dynamite and I could hear giggles in the back ground. I figured it was someone who knew me and I thought it sounded like Daniel...Cindy's daughter. After saying her name I realized that who ever it was, they were not paying attention to what I was saying. I hung up and was going to wait a few minutes and then call Cindy to see what kind of trouble they were up to. Well, to my surprise, Cindy called me and told me what Danielle and her Aunt Michelle where up to. I had guessed correctly. The two of them found a sound board while online and they decided I would be a good person to call because I wouldn't get mad. Cindy asked me for a couple of numbers and they harassed a few other relatives before giving up. They crack me up...especially since Danielle is now going to have to suffer the rath of the Kaster's at the family get together next weekend. She's young, she will learn. LOL....its best to do things when there is time in between for them to forget about it. A week just wouldn't cut it for me.

I'm turning over a strange leaf.
Ok, so here is the story. I went to take a shower yesterday evening and when I took off my bra I found a leaf stuck to my boob. It wasn't just stuck to the top...it had been quite a ways down in the cup. I was like, "What the hell! Where did you come from little fellow!" The amazing part was that I had not been outside the entire day. I was in the house cleaning up a storm I check and the leaf doesn't match any of the house plants I have. It is the strangest thing. I don't know where that little booger came from our what kind of plant it came off of. I guess it's just one of life's little mysteries. Ok, I'm off to the movies or to Target to get a new battery for my cordless phone. One of my current batteries is shot and the other one is not lasting as long as it should. Annoying.
I'm in better spirits....
By that I don't mean that I am soaking in booze, though that could be nice. No, I am just in a much better mood today. I slept in and had a nice snooze. When I got out of the shower I found out that Tami called me so I returned her call. It was so nice to hear from her. Our call got cut a bit short but that is what happens when you have kids. We'll talk again soon. I need to go get my hair cut today but I might wait until next weekend. I also need to send Deanna's packages with all of Kelsies stuff. I really should go see a movie, but I am going tomorrow with Raine so I might just wait. I guess I will go pick up my fruit for my friut dip that I have to drop off at Jeans before I go to the city tomorrow morning.
Tata for now. I must go find motivation....blah!

So help me!
If I hear, "Annette, I need your help for a second!", one more time I will scream. Now just the fact that I rarely, if ever scream...it's amazing I'm even thinking about it. I woke up in a terrible, cranky mood. I think part of my problem was that I woke up the first time at 4AM and I was walking around my room, frantically looking for something. I heard myself saying, "Where is it, where is it, Jesus, I can't find it!" Then I stopped and thought..."What the hell am I looking for?" I must have been dreaming but woke up when I hit the floor. I was freaked out, and my heart was racing. It was terrible. I went back to bed, woke up a half hour later, went to the bathroom and hit the sheets again. I woke up just before my alarm went off and that is never a good sign for me. I knew the second I opened my eyes that I was in a very bitchy mood.
Poor Cliff, I told him to behave today because I was cranky and he kept teasing me because he said I wasn't cranky. Oh, let me tell you...I WAS. At one point I was cleaning up the kitchen. Cliff was in the den and asked for a pair of scissors. I handed them to him and he cut off a plactic tie from his new sneakers. Then instead of throwing it in the trash can by his feet or walking into the kitchen to toss it in that bin, he dropped it through the opening onto the kitchen counter. I sighed this long annoyed sigh and I informed him where the trash cans were. He just laughed and thanked me for educating him on the placement of the trash cans. He then teased me all day about beeing so cranky.
Back to the"Help" part of my story. Today was Nancy's birthday. Cliff decided to cook a homemade meal for her from scratch. If you have ever heard about Cliff's Thanksgiving dishes that he makes you will understand that he needs to be supervised. I kid you not! Two years ago, instead of putting two teaspoons of garlic cloves in the dish he put two teaspoons of cloves. Now cloves are strong stuff especially for a simple potato recipe. OH it was nasty. I was reading his recipe when I saw him put it in and I said....."Wait, what recipe are you making" He said, "the one you have in your hand." I said, "This one doesn't call for cloves...it calls for GARLIC cloves." His response was, "oops!" So, today he was asking me a ton of questions. I was busy trying to get this house in order and we had a new fridge put in and the old one put in the basement to replace the other old fridge that we had the guys remove. I had to take everything out of the fridges and put the frozen stuff in coolers. Then he wanted to go grocery shopping for his cooking supplies before the guys got her with the fridges. I told him not to. I asked him where he thought he was going to put the ice cream he was going to buy. I guess he seemed to think the new fridge would arrive chilled....UGH~ Then he unplugged the cordless phone base when he was using the food processor. Then he couldn't figure out why the phone stopped ringing in the kitchen. I explained why and he plugged it back in but it still wouldn't work....that is because he tripped the ground button and needed to re-set the outlet. LAter I told him while he was simmering his chicken to watch it to make sure it didn't cook down too much. Well, I hear him about 20 minutes later yelling, "Damn it!" He burnt one of the skillets of chicken and all of his onions and sause were a pool of black crust. It was gross. In the end I had to reclean the kitche I had cleaned earlier. It was totally trashed. I mean it was bad. I just didn't want Nancy to come home to find that kitchen in that state. Its bad enough she got a fridge for her birthay...but a messy kitchen on top of that would have been grounds for divorce in my book.

My little Leach kids. This picture is so old, especialy since they are both in college now. Chris will Graduate from Darmouth in the 2006 and Katie is starting Franklin and Marshall this fall. Oh, by the way, that is Goop that they are dripping all over. its a mixture of baking soda and water. It feels so cool when mixed correctly.
My little Raccoon..

Once I had a pet Raccoon. It's true. My Mother hated him. He used to chase me around the yard and jump on me, licking me like a puppy would. He used to sit on the back of the seat when my Dad took him for rides in the car. He loved it. He would crawl up on the sceen of my bedroom window at night and wake me up. Dad took him to work one day and ended up giving him to a kid who wanted him, after he brought his Dad by to see our little buddy. I think Mom was the reason Dad gave him away. Our little coon used to gross her out, but then again she never really liked animals. I love the noise they make...I love the way they wash their paws and anything they eat. The Japanese call them water bears. How cute is that. I have no idea who this lady is in the photo, but that little guy climbing on her back reminds me of my long lost pal. I wish I had some pictures of him. For some reason we don't. So sad......oh so sad. I still have fond memories though.
Good morning!
I'm a little cranky today. I have a headache, I'm bloated, I have a ton of crap to do and I don't want to do any of it. So, besides the headache and bloating, it's a normal day around here. Lovley. I realized that I didn't call a friend the other night like I said I would. I got confused on who was calling who. I suck. I bought something at Hallmark the other night and they gave me the wrong box so now I have to return it. Dang it. I hate returning stuff...but its not what I asked for. Which reminds me...I need to look for something before I log off today. I'm glad I brought that up. Google, here I come.
OK, my plans for avoiding work today is as follows: I will write some letters that I just have to get in the mail....I will drop Cliff off at the train and go to Hallmark to exchange my item. I will return home, Call Sherry at work and pretend we are talking care of important business...ie: September plans. I will tidy up a bit so it looks like I did something and make a banner for Nancy's birthday. While Sam is coloring it in...I will read my book, and surprise myself by falling to sleep for 25 minutes. I will get up, cook Sam some yummy pasta for lunch before he heads out to the beach with a friends family. I will them toss on a swim suit and hit the back yard. After an hour, and 15 coats of sunblock, I will head inside, take a quick shower, shave my legs. I may need to use the weed wacker for that last one...its scary. Then I will go get my Manicure/Pedicure that I have been blogging about for weeks. After that I will stop at the store and get some fat free milk before returning home to wait for Sam. Maybe I'll have some ambition by then and make a few more bracelets.
Yeah, that should work.

Who wants a new fridge for their birthday?
Yep, I went fridge shopping for Nancy's birthday. Cliff's idea, not mine. What kind of husband buys his wife a new refrigerator for their birthday...huh! If it was me, I would buy him a lovely new vacuum for his birthday. He'd never use it...so it would hopefully get the point across. Sam and I went shopping and we found a great jewelry sale. We bought her a lovely white gold necklace and matching ring for 60% off. Sam picked it out. I wanted a bracelet that I spied for the same sale price but it was still $289.00. I don't need it right now...so I had to pass. I 'm going to pay for classes this fall instead. It seems like a wiser choice. Doesn't that suck.
I almost forgot....and this a good one...
Sam and I went for a little boat ride the yesterday. It was around 6 PM and I had just been outside watering the flowers and he asked if I wanted to go for a quick ride. We headed out and things went smoothly....until we were in the channel headed home. We were just around the bend in the marsh when the motor started acting up and sputtering around. It died and we could not get it started. So, we were drifting over into the marsh and had to put the motor up really quick so it wouldn't drag if we hit a very shallow area. We flagged down a passing boat and a nice guy and his wife towed us back to our house. We gave him directions and as we pulled up, Cliff was standing on the dock looking at us funny. The guy that towed us yelled to him, "Do you know these people?" Cliff yelled, "No, never seen the before in my life." lol....We all thanked the gentleman and his wife for the help and tied up the friggin' boat. I have to call and see if we can get someone to look at it for us. It's always an adventure with us.

Don't I look like a sweet, innocent country girl in this picture. Only I'm not that sweet or that innocent....but we don't have to let everyone in on that little secret, do we. I'm missing Nebraska a little bit right now. I think its because I didn't go home this summer. It could be that I really wish I could be helping Mom and Dad paint the new house before they move in and stuff like that. I'll be home for Christmas. I'll just have to wait.

That's Nebraska people....and yes, that was me on a poor horse a few years ago. WE all know that after a fall on my head, several years ago that I rarely go riding. Breaking your clavical will do that to a person, yep, it will freak you out. I'm just lucky it was around a pond and I didn't break my neck. This was taken in South East Nebraska...Johnson County...the land belongs to my sisters in-laws.

Get with the program people!
Some strange guy emailed me and was all pissy because he thought my site should be all about basketball. Freak! I emailed him back and explained that this site is my little domain and if he wanted basketball he should look somewhere else. This puppy is all about NETT...short for Netter, which is short for Annette. Hence, I shall be controlling the content and making sure that it has very little substance. LOL, well its true! You are not going to find great writing here, just me bitching, moaning, being stupid and having a little fun venting. It doesn't get any better than that, does it? The answer to that is...NOPE! Besides if this site was written by me about basketball...the title would be "Air Ball" or "Nothin' but Air" Yep, there would be very few two pointers on my site...let alone three pointers, forget about it. I may post "pointers" but they would be for how to get a stain out of carpet or something like that. Don't get me wrong, I like basketball...and most sports in general, I just don't make a habit of discussing them in public. I have more meaningless stuff to blab about. Please!
My latest purchase....
I was at the mall with Sam today and bought a new CD while we were in the record store. OK, they don't have records anymore but I can't stop calling them that. Get over it. Anyway, I have been walking around with the song "Home" stuck in my head for weeks. I finally broke down and bought the Michael Buble CD titled "it's time". I have been listening to that song on repeat for an hour now and I am still not sick of it. I wonder how long it will take before it makes me wanna gag.
My Little Sister...the pain in the ass...
Tisha is having major surgery on Monday. I would like to say that I am really relaxed about the procedure but to tell you the truth, I am a little freaked out. I trust the Doctor about as much as I could ever possibly trust a Doctor. Tisha is a strong gal. It's just that the area and the extent of the surgery has me freaked. I figure everything will go really well, but strange things have been know to happen. When you deal with the spinal cord, brain, and skull region....it can be a very sensitive area to dink around in. I guess what it comes down to is that I do love my sister....no matter how much we fight or disagree with each other....no mater how many times she tells me that I am so fucking jolly it makes her sick. Yes she has said that to me. She is my opposite....I'm day, she's night..and I guess I wouldn't know how to handle it if it was any different than that. Put her in your prayers, even though she would hate that thought. What she doesn't know won't kill her. Oh, and yes, sometimes she is a pain in the ass....but I wouldn't trade her in for a better model or a dog.
OK, OK, OK, alright already...
I'm making some bracelets for everyone....FINALLY. I have two promised to Dani, one to Carole, one to my Sister's boss, a couple to misc friends. I just have not been in the super crafty mood. I feel like I an getting behind so now I have to kick it into high gear. Should be fun. HA, yeah right! I was up early and I decided to lay back down until my alarm went off at its normal setting. It never went off again and I was snoring up a storm. Thank goodness I didn't have to be up early for something. I think Sam had just gotten up too. He's happily watching TV...Regis and Kelly....yeah, he likes that show.
I have to write a letter today that I have been putting off working on. Part of me knows that I have to write it but the other half says to just let it go. I have to tell someone that I am taking them off of my membership to BJ's...its a warehouse store, kind of like Sam's Club. Anyway, I know it's the best thing for me to do....but I still I feel bad about doing it. Granted, I have never been paid the half of the membership that they said they would pay and if they want to take care of that, then sure, they can stay on there. I just never see them anymore.....so why not let someone else have the perk if its just going to waste. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it...but I really don't want to.
Ok, I'm going to go do something productive instead of sitting her looking blankly at the computer screen trying to think of ways to avoid everything else. Dang it!
