It's so true!

I like shiny things. I do. I like the idea of glitter. It's pretty. It sparkles. It makes me smile...until it gets all over everything and can't get rid of it. It never fails, you end up walking around covered in glitter for weeks after you work with it. It moves from item to item with such ease that its scary. Really, I guess you could say that it's a love/hate relationship that I have with glitter. I know that was random....but I felt I should share.

  1. This made me LOL...at work...

The boys that live with you get particularly annoyed when they end up with glitter on themselves...especially if we're going to hang out w/other people, and they notice there are sparkles on the boy faces! ;)

  2. lol, I'm not going to tell people that they have glitter on their face, I'm going to tell them that they have a bad case of craft herpies....should get an interesting reaction in public. Hopefully, I'll live to blog about it.

  3. OMG AHAHAHAHAHAHA That's the funniest thing I've read in awhile!!!! I know EXACTLY what you mean, though - glitter is absolutely brutal. I swear I'm still vacuuming it up in Amy's old room & she's been gone for over a year.

  4. Oh yes Darlene...Glitter an evil CTD. Maybe you need one of those super crazy vacuum...like a Dyson or something, that might do the trick.

  5. One dot of glitter always finds its way to someone's face long after the craft is done and put away. Always.

Easter grass also sticks around for a long time.

When I taught preschool, I was very thankful that we had an easy-going janitor.

  6. I got a turquoise shirt that reads I AM A DIVA in silver glitter.

I wore it to pool one night.

And I was asked never to wear that shirt to pool again.

Who knew silver glitter could be so distracting to the other players?

  7. Hopefully they'll have a cure for it soon! LOL

Glitter gets everywhere! But yet the young and old are attracted to it!

Have fun and live thats my motto!

  8. There is glitter still on my wall where Meredith's birthday banner hung! I like it there. It reminds that my very special friend took the time to make something very special for my 5-year-old girl. Thanks again.

  9. The best is when hubby says, "you know your face is glittering?" and you can always reply,"must be because of YOU, my darling!" (always good for a couple of extra minutes at the craft store!)

  10. It's probably not the same thing, but I always get alarmed whenever I see that glitter eye shadow. I think that they will NEVER get it all off and that a chunk will land in their eye.

P.S. Have you seen the gorgeous Martha Stewart glitter at Michael's? If it wasn't a health hazard, I'd run out an buy some.

  11. hahahahahaha That made me laugh out loud, too.
I remember when the girls got a new Barbie doll with glitter hairgel as an accessory. Who decided that this was a good idea?? It certainly wasn't a mom.
