Where did he put the cage?

I've been sleepwalking again. I did it when I was home on vacation and opened the curtains, shut off the ceiling fan, threw some yarn on the floor in the bedroom, and opened a paint pen and sat it on the piano. I never did find the package that it had been in. I have a strange feeling that it is in one of my parents closets.
Well, I know I was sleepwalking last night to. I woke up while I was strolling around the basement looking for a raccoon that was supposed to be in a cage. ??? Yes, I know that is what I was looking for because I was looking out the patio door when woke up and found myself saying, "Where did he put that raccoon? That cage should be around here somewhere." That is when I cocked my head sideways and thought to myself..."WTF am I talking about?!" It took me a few seconds to realize where I was standing and to figure out how to get back to my bedroom. This was at 4:16AM. Now I feel exhausted.
Last week, I think I had been strolling in my sleep too. I had changed the times on my alarm clock so that both alarms would go off in the afternoon, instead of the morning, thus I overslept. I know I had to have done it in the middle of the night because I remembered checking the alarm and setting it before I went to bed. I didn't have to switch the time because it was set at the normal time I get up, 6:45AM. and the second alarm was set at its normal time, 7AM. Some how, I had switched them to 3:36PM and 5:08PM.
I'm not enjoying these nighttime strolls, not one bit. I'm not sure what I can do to put an end to it though. Perhaps I should do some research on the matter.

Oh Dear Lord, NOOOOOO!

Sam agreed to watch the neighbors dogs while they were in Hawaii, celebrating Paula's 50th birthday in the 50th state. They have friends spending the night to keep the dogs company but from 7AM to 7PM they need to be let out. The dogs are used to going to work with Paula and Jeff so they are used to the interaction and the frequent potty breaks.

Sooo, Sam decided to go with his Mom to take care of his 7 month old niece for the week. Than means I get to, nope HAVE to watch the dogs. Now, don't get me wrong, Marley and Lola are great girls and I would never add to pre-trip jitters by leaving them high and dry for a day time dog sitter. I go over every couple of hours, give them some attention, check their water bowls, let them out to do their business, pet them until my arms want to fall off. It all sounds pretty fun, right. WELL, Miss Marley must have wolfed down her food this morning because when I got there, she was acting funny. I thought maybe she just missed her Masters. WE are in the kitchen, heading to the back yard and suddenly she starts making a funny sound, I turn just in time to see her blow chunks all over the floor. OMG, I get to clean dog barf. Not a little bit either. Nope, a whole mother load of puke. Not to fear, I checked on Marley several extra times this morning and she was back to her old self, running around like a nutcase.

All I have to say is Sam owes me for this one. OWES ME BIG TIME. You just know that the dog won't hurl while he's taking care of it. Nope, she saves the fun stuff for old Netter.

I left a note for Bill and Judy, the night time sitters. I wouldn't let anyone walk blind into a barfing dog situation. A heads up is only fair, don't you think.

**Note** Still no dog pictures because the pictures won't download. I'm working on it. Give me a couple of days.

What animal would I be?

You Would Be a Pet Rabbit

Playful and hyper, you enjoy being around other people... as long as everyone's having fun.
You are easily bored, and you almost always need some sort of entertainment.
If you're not keeping busy, then you're apt to get in some sort of trouble!

Why you would make a great pet: You're very entertaining, even when you're not trying to be

Why you would make a bad pet: Well, personal hygiene isn't exactly your thing... you kind of smell sometimes

What you would love about being a rabbit: Playtime... and eating flowers

What you would hate about being a rabbit: Being held like a toy

OK, I'm totally taking offense with the smelly part. I shower, I bath, I groom...really I do.

My latest purchase

Hehe! Look what I bought myself on Ebay. I friggin love it. You know, we Nebrasky gals sure are a handful. Listen, you have to make your own fun when you live in farm country. Fun usually involved, booze and mischief. I was going to show it to Raine but I was afraid she would try to outbid me. You have to be fast when dealing with Raine cause she's sneaky and quick.

Bottle cap earrings

Raine had a pair of really cool Italian Beer cap earrings on the last time I saw her. She bought them in Rome. Actually she went back and bought them because her husband tried to tell her she didn't need them. I'm glad she let her better judgement rule. Anyway, I was looking at those earrings and I thought to myself, "I could make those." I have to say this is not a new statement for me. I tend to think I could make anything, if I am given the correct tools. Anywho, I dug through my bead collection and found the gold European hinge earrings that I had purchased for another project. I then dug out my wire, dremel drill, small drill bits, and wire cutters. I knew I had some Miller Lite beer caps left over, via my Cousin in Summerfield Kansas. Marianne's favorite beer is Miller Lite....so she received my very first pair of bar earrings. I don't have a picture of Raine in her beer cap earrings, or I would have posted it as well.

My favorite!

Everyone knows that I'm a big fan of Jane Austen. I love her novels...expecially, Sense and Sensibility(1811), Pride and Prejudice(1813), Mansfiled Park (1814), and Emma(1815). I'm a push over for the time period, though I am very happy that I wasn't a women back then. Let's face it, I'm a bit to headstrong and verbal to have lived a decent life in the early 1800's. Women didn't have legal rights to inheriate property and let's face it, I would have been considered an old maid at an even earlier age than I am now. I love the clothing though. What I wouldn't do to look fetching in a gown from that time period. That is why the movies are eye candy to me. Anyway, I took this little quiz and I thought I would share it with you.
I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Taryn Joy came home....

My parents neighbors had a baby girl July 17th. She wasn't due until the end of August, but there were circumstances that called for a C-section. I won't go into all the details but Little Taryn has gone through a lot in her short little life. Her Mommy(Megan) and Daddy(Jesse) had to prepare themselves for the worst several times. Luckily, Taryn is a fighter. She's home now, but she still has a trachea tube and she has a lot of machines to safe guard her until she is stronger. I'm really jealous because my Mom got to see Taryn the other day and I have to wait until Christmas. I'm sure in a few short years, Taryn and Rue will be running around the yard, keeping Taryn's Daddy and Rue's Papa busy chasing after them. I'm thinking about making Taryn a granny square blanket. That is if I can get my Mom talked into hooking them all together for me. Hehe....Oh, Mommmmm!

MIA

I have not been posting. I know, I know. What's a gal to do. I promise I will start up again. I have lots of things to blog about. Let's face it, I always have something to blab about. I've been going through craft stuff and thinning out my stash of junk. I started sewing again. I have a lot of things planned but we have to see how long this lasts.

Mom's new pillows...

While I was home, Mom and I finally were able to work on the photo pillows that we had planned on making for her sofa last Christmas. What can I say, time flies when you are home. I even left before the were completely done. I had pinned them on the pillows but Mom had to tack them down. She sewed the ribbon together, I did the corners and made her sew them too. So basically, all I did was run off the pictures and line stuff up. Mom did all the hard stuff. lol....She loved every minute of it. (She will deny this, but I was there...I KNOW!) Anyway, I'm the baby on her right...and Tisha is the baby on her left in the purple outfit. We were cute little boogers.

Auntie An......

Rue ran out of e's,n's,and t's. But its nice to know that she misses me and is thinking about me. OK, so her Grammy or Mommy helped her with the spelling but that doesn't mean she wasn't thinking of me. Heck, she was crying today and heard my voice on the phone and stopped crying to listen to me talk. Yeah, I still have the touch.

Hehe...

I was checking out my cousins daughters sites and I came across this gem of a picture. That's my Cousin Mike...Danielle's Uncle. Mike's a big guy but he looks so small on that swing. He also looks like he didn't want the picture taken but who knows, it could have been staged. I just thought it was a cute picture and I had to share it. I'm not sure why Cindy (Mike's Sister...my other cousin) didn't post it on her site. Perhaps their were threats involved. Who knows. I was able to visit with Mike while I was home. I'm hoping he's at Christmas this year....because the time flew.

Reflections on shopping

Posted by Picasa
This is so cute. We were shopping at Wallie World and ofcourse Rue Rue was being a really good girl. She loves to look at everything so she is pretty darn content most of the time. We had stopped to look at a few things when Suddenly Tisha (Rue's Mommy) asked me if I had my camera with me. We had not noticed that we had stopped in front of a mirror. Rue was having the best time looking at herself. She'd kick her feet and then watch them in the mirror, she'd mover her hands and watch them in the mirror. She'd jump around and smile while keeping her eyes glued on her reflextion.

Rue's first Bikini

Posted by Picasa
I had to do it. I bought Rue Rue her first bikini. It's so darn cute on its own but when you put it on Rue....OMG, she's like a mini movie star. I think her sunglasses really put the icing on the cake. She didn't know what to think of her pool the first time she was dipped into it but it didn't take long for her to fall in love with it. She laughed and played for quite a while. We pulled her out before she turned into a prune.

Now whose keeping me company?!

Posted by Picasa
Part of the duties of a good Aunt is that you are not allowed to ride shotgun. You have to sit in the back with the little one and keep them happy. That's fine but who keeps you company when they fall asleep? The always do...
